For a while, that works.

But as the company grows, the same setup becomes harder to trust. It becomes less clear what has been committed, what has been approved, what has already been invoiced, and what is still available to spend.

biosuite was created for that stage.

Not for large enterprises with dedicated procurement departments. Not for complex manufacturing supply chains. And not for teams that want a heavy system before they know exactly what they need.

The stage between Excel and enterprise software

biosuite is built for small and growing biotech companies that need a clearer way to manage procurement, contract values, approvals, invoices, and spend – without turning it into a heavy process.

The idea is simple: start with the financial records biotech teams already work with every day, and connect them properly.

A contract should not live in one place while purchase orders are tracked somewhere else. An invoice should not arrive without context. A change order should not require someone to manually update three different files. And finance should not have to rebuild the same overview every time someone asks how much has been committed to a vendor, programme, or department.

That is what biosuite is trying to make easier.

The overview and records before accounting

biosuite is not trying to become your ERP or accounting system. It is built for the overview and records that come before accounting: what has been agreed, what has been ordered, what has been approved, and what still remains to spend.

In biotech, much of this spending is service-based. CRO work, consulting, clinical operations, regulatory support, lab services, and external expertise often move across contracts, milestones, amendments, and changing priorities. It is rarely as clean as a single order followed by a single invoice.

Generic procurement tools can feel too broad. Enterprise platforms can be too heavy. Spreadsheets can be too fragile.

biosuite is our attempt to build something more fitting: structured enough to give control, but simple enough for a small team to actually use.

Where we go from here

This is the beginning. biosuite will continue to evolve with the teams using it, and the product will become better through real work, real feedback, and the details that only appear once software meets everyday use.

Our goal is not to make procurement feel bigger than it is.

It is to make the financial side of biotech work easier to see, easier to trust, and easier to manage.
